Headteachers Update What a whirlwind of a second week. Amongst the children working hard across the curriculum, we have had the Norfolk County Council mental health team visit to deliver workshops to Year 6. The Bikeability team were in to provide enrichment opportunities for Years 3 and 4 and Mrs Walker took the Year 4s to Norwich Theatre Royal to watch their core text performed live on stage. We also had our summer term parent's evening. Thank you to those who attended, it was great to hear feedback. If you missed out on a meeting - please contact the class teacher so they can arrange an appointment with you. Miss Laycock

Headteachers Update Welcome back everyone, what a wonderful start to the summer term we have had. We are very excited to have welcomed Miss Ward and Mrs Smith to our teaching team. We have lots of exciting events and opportunities happening this term. Summer term clubs have began this week- with the new additions of Book, Cookery and Performing Arts Club. We received some fantastic feedback, 'We had a great first week at cookery club, I couldn’t ask for a nicer group of cooks, they were so enthusiastic. ' Next week, we have Bikeability for Y3/4, our first trip of the term and visitors into school. We also look forward to seeing you next week for our summer term parents evening. Get ready Lingwood for a busy term ahead! Miss Laycock

Headteachers Update This week, were delighted to have the NSPCC in to deliver the speak out workshops to Y2, 5 and 6. Thank you to the parents who attended our parent cafe drop in and the FOLPA meeting, as always your feedback is imperative to ensure we are always improving our school together. Big thank you to Miss Long and members of the school council who worked hard to raise awareness for Comic Relief. Together as a school we managed to raise a grand total of £117.90! We really do appreciate, where you can to give to these charities and our school- we look forward to Easter Egg Family Bingo tonight with Mr B and Miss Long. Miss Laycock

Headteachers Update This week, saw the children working extremely hard in their termly assessments. Every day, we ask the children to try their best and they did not disappoint. We have had more trips, experiences and visitors - it has been a busy one but the children have greatly benefited from these wider curriculum experiences. We also dressed in red and raised money for Comic Relief - thank you to Miss Long and the school council for organising. Please don't forget that it is the parent cafe drop in next Tuesday morning. Headteachers Update What another busy week making every moment count. We were thrilled to see so many children dressed up as their favourite book characters for World Book Day. This week, Year 6 had a fantastic budgeting workshop delivered from the Natwest banking team. All of the children worked really hard to plan a birthday party. Next week, we are looking forward to raising awareness for Comic Relief. School Council have planned some exciting activities - well done to those who have already bought their competition entries back. Thank you for your continuing support. Miss Laycock

Headteachers Update It has been another busy week at Lingwood Primary Academy. The children who attended the FOLPA disco on Monday had a wonderful time. Thank you to FOLPA members and our staff who stayed to support this event and, of course Mr B who DJ'd the disco. The children are already asking when the next disco will be! Please keep an eye on our diary dates to make sure you are aware of further upcoming events. Can I please remind parents that the school car park is for staff parking only - unless permission has been given by the school. This is to ensure we are keeping our children safe at the beginning and end of the school day. Thank you for your continuing support and I hope you have a restful half term holidays. See you on Monday 26th February Miss Laycock

Headteachers Update It has been another busy week at Lingwood Primary Academy. We are continuing our CUSP journey and the children are embracing their learning this term. We have introduced a new lunchtime rota that supports play activities with different year groups having access to the MUGA, basketball nets and tennis balls. Alongside this, our school playleaders have been very busy setting up games on the playground for other children to enjoy. This has been supported by our lunchtime supervisors and staff and we are already seeing the positive impact. Our Reading Ambassadors had a fantastic time today visiting Bookbugs and Dragon Tales and I would like to thank Mrs Luck for organising this wonderful trip. We look forward to the travelling book fair visiting us next week - please pop in after-school and have a look! Thank you for your continuing support. Miss Laycock
