Welcome

At Lingwood Primary Academy, we strive to ensure our children have the highest quality education as well as gaining a breath of experiences through our curriculum.

The children at Lingwood Primary are inspired and enthusiastic learners, who are encouraged to step out of their comfort zones and challenge themselves every day.

About us

Learning

Our curriculum is designed to ensure that pupils leave Lingwood Primary not only prepared for the next stage of their school career but prepared for life.

We are committed to providing a curriculum which is broad, balanced, sequential, and progressive.

Our education

Parents

At Lingwood Primary Academy, we believe that in order to provide a successful education for every individual child we must work in partnership with parents.

We have high expectations of ourselves, our children and our parents and carers. Together, we develop all areas of academy life, with clear expectations from all sides.

Headteachers Update An utterly brilliant first week back, lots of children returning refreshed and looking smart for their school photos this week. We have another jam-packed term ahead with curriculum, trips, visitors and festive fun! This week, Year 5 began their swimming lessons and Year 2 adventured to Strangers Hall. This week, we also raised awareness for anti-bullying week, the poppy appeal and Children in Need. Thank you to all that contributed and paid respect. Christmas dates have been set. Next Tuesday, we have our regular parent cafe drop in session from 8.40am. We hope to see you there. Thank you for your continuing support. Miss Laycock and the Lingwood Team

Headteachers Update What an exciting, but busy half term we have had. We are so proud of all of our pupils. This week, Year 6 have completed their swimming lessons and Year 3 ventured on their trip to Time and Tide museum. Thank you to the parents who attended the EYFS session and to those of you who have supported our three charities over the last two weeks. Food donations will be delivered over the half-term. Have a lovely break everyone, stay safe and we will see you all on the 11th November. Thank you for your continuing support. Miss Laycock and the Lingwood Team

Headteachers Update It has been another busy week at Lingwood. Lots of learning happening around the school, including lots of enrichment activities this week. We have been blown away by the levels of maturity and topical vocabulary being used. KS2 enjoyed learning to beatbox with Mide Naike. Y2, 3, 5 and 6 enjoyed their CO workshops. The ECO team have been busy reevaluating our school plans to make our school more energy efficient and all the children were excited to be in non-uniform today raising awareness for our first charity of the year - Just One Tree. An attendance reminder that our children are in school next Friday. We will then have two weeks holiday, returning to school on Monday 11th November to celebrate Remembrance Day - please bring in donations for the Poppy Appeal. Our head boy and head girl will be coming round with the fundraiser box of goodies. Thank you for your continuing support. Miss Laycock and the Lingwood Team
