Lingwood Primary Academy is celebrating some of the best SATs results in our history.
Year 6 pupils achieved a fantastic 80% combined expected standard of English, maths and reading – well above the national average of around 63%.
As the pupils today prepare to leave for their respective secondary school education, leaders at Lingwood paid tribute to their hard work.
The school has enjoyed a huge upturn in results since joining Unity Schools Partnership in 2024 and signing up to the CUSP Curriculum.
Headteacher Caroline Laycock said: “I am incredibly proud of all our pupils for all their hard work and determination to achieve their very best this year.
“The staff are relentless in their teaching practice and we pride ourselves on our ongoing professional development – following the Unity Schools Partnership CUSP Curriculum to ensure teaching is continually adapted and improved.
“I would also like to thank our fantastic parents for their ongoing support.”
Assistant headteacher and maths lead, Lawrence Dibden, added: “The class have worked so hard this year and we at Lingwood couldn’t be prouder. They now have a great foundation to build on in high school.”
