In addition, here are some useful websites to help support you and your child if you are worried about any of these areas: Mental Health and Wellbeing, Behaviour, Speech Language and Communication. The sites are free to access and will offer advice, support or signpost you to additional services. For any other concerns please contact the school’s parent line or email the SENCO.

Launchpad

At Lingwood Primary Academy, we have Launchpad - a specialist Key Stage Two Inclusion Base for children aged between seven (Year 3) and eleven (Year 6).

The base is designed for pupils who struggle to access a mainstream classroom. Their needs may make it difficult for them to cope with sensory overload, and they may require a highly differentiated and bespoke curriculum and higher ratios of staff to pupils.

Launchpad provides specialist provision for children, young people and their families that addresses their needs early - a place where all pupils achieve their full potential in a learning environment where they feel safe, happy, accepted and included.

We aim to offer a broad and balanced curriculum which is personalised to give those pupils that attend affected by complex and multiple special educational needs unprecedented opportunities to learn, so they can surpass all previous expectations for attainment and achievement.
