Dear Families,

What a fantastic last few days we have had in school. The week started with Ben Langley performing in school to us all. The children loved this experience which was organised by FOLPA as an end of year event.

I spent Tuesday with Foxes enjoying a lovely day at the beach playing many beach games and enjoying the arcades. It is all these extra curricular activities which children remember as they move throughout their education and as a school we have begun to make plans for the next academic year.

I am immensely proud of all our Year 6 pupils who worked incredibly hard to make progress in all areas of the curriculum this year. Our SATs results were received yesterday and as a school very proud of all our achievements. Again, this year we are above national averages with 80% of our pupils achieving the expected standard in reading, writing and maths.

Thank you for all of your support over this academic year and I wish you all a lovely summer break with all your families.

Year group news

Nursery

This week in Nursery the children have been very excited to eat their lunch in the dinner hall as we help our older children prepare for their move up to Reception. We have looked back at photos of all the lovely activities the children have done over the year and enjoyed seeing ourselves on the big screen. We wish all our children moving up to Reception well and look forward to welcoming back the children who will be with us next year in September.

Reception Rabbits

Rabbits class have had a fantastic final week in Reception. We have enjoyed the book ‘Super Me’, in which a boy and his dad set out on an adventure to find a real superhero! We have had children’s choice of activities in the classroom, which has meant lots of imaginative play with vehicles, unicorns, and lots of activities linked to football. We also got to say a lovely goodbye to Mrs Brighton on Wednesday, wishing her good luck for her new school. We hope you all enjoy a great summer holiday with your families!

Goodbye Year 6 and SATs

It is with sadness that we say goodbye to the Year 6 children and wish them well in high school.

A huge well done to the Year 6 children for their SATs results this year. Judging previous years, it looks to be well above the national average. Each and every child should be proud of themselves.
