All children have music as part of their cross curricular learning. We use the teaching programme ‘Charanga’ to deliver our music lessons to cover all areas of the music curriculum. The children learn singing skills and being able to compose music using their own voices. Opportunities are given for the children to perform, listen to, review and evaluate music within their historical topics.
Year 4 have a weekly violin lesson where they learn how to play an instrument which is fully funded for all our children. We are passionate to ensure that all our children have these extra curricular opportunities which may inspire children to explore different musical instruments.
