A message from Mr Hart, and a slideshow of photos from the Fun Run itself.
“We had an awesome day learning about the London Marathon! All the morning lessons were London Marathon themed and in the afternoon the pupils took part in their very own Fun Run. The KS1 pupils completed 2 laps of the course and the KS2 pupils completed 4 laps of the course! Well done to every pupil who took part and completed the gruelling challenge!
A special well done to:
Matthew – KS1 Boys and Overall Winner
Chloe – KS1 Girls Winner
Faye – KS2 Girls Winner and Overall Winner
Thomas – KS2 Boys Winner.
Also, a big thank you to all the parents and families that cheered on the pupils in the sunshine! It was a great afternoon. It’s not too late to sponsor or collect some sponsorship in. The kids all showed a great attitude to complete their run so deserve all the praise and sponsorship they can get.
Everyone had a great time during World Book Day last week. The day started with the children choosing a story to listen to from one of the adults in school, then they took part in a range of book related activities during the day.
The Key Stage 2 500 Word Story competition was also judged. Winners were : Casper in Year 3/4 with his story “A Very Sticky Story”, Ellen in Year 4/5 with “Darkness in the Magical Forest” and Hollie in Year 6 with “Rings of Saturn”.
